Volunteers Build Ramp for Veteran

Press Release

Laconia, NH, April 6, 2019: A group of volunteers from Lakes Region Builders & Remodelers Association helps out a local Vet by building a much-needed ramp to get easier access to his home.

With the new ramp in place, coming and going becomes a lot simpler for a Laconia veteran, who was have a difficult time accesses his home.

The project was brought to LRBRA’s attention by the local organization called Service Link who specializes in finding sources for Veterans needing help.

They reached out to one of our members, Gregory Page from Meredith Village Savings Bank to see if he knew of anyone that could build a ramp for a veteran at a reasonable price. He indicated to her that a number of our members would jump at the chance to help out a vet.

“The job went very well. The teamwork was unbelievable, especially considering it’s the first time we’ve all worked with each other. And it was fun,” noted Greg.

Lakes Region Builders & Remodelers Association is part of NH Home Builders Association who also runs Hammers For Vets, a non-profit organization.
